Meet Poonam Gill

Poonam Gill was born and raised in Indianapolis to parents who immigrated from India. She grew up learning two languages and appreciating the differences in all cultures. She attended Franklin Central High School, and graduated from Purdue with a degree in Electrical Engineering. After graduating she worked for a manufacturing company for more than five years. Poonam has led many after school programs that promote STEM (Science Technology Engineering Math). She serves on volunteer boards to promote engagement for nonprofit organizations, and has a history of volunteering in the community. She is the Outreach Chair for the Hamilton County Democratic Party, organizing volunteering opportunities and increasing civic engagement. Poonam currently lives in Fishers with her husband and three young children.
